BBQ @ DTE #2

Refer to this for DTE #1 =P

Who would've have thought that half a year later I would be back at Downtown East for a BBQ?
Old pal Andrew had arranged a barbecue gathering on last Friday, and since there was no reason for me to refuse his invitation, I showed up.
Not for bbq, but more with LAN gaming in mind.

^playing with fire

DTE had only one available lan shop though, and the rate for 1hr gaming was $5 - a fricking' rip-off. Thus all of us decided to boycott the store and satisfy ourselves with simply barbecue, and later to the nearby amusement arcade.

^shooting practice

We probably spent around an hour at the arcade, playing random games. Well, more like me just being the spectator. I suck at these stuff, so I am better off watching peeps play instead.

^racing duo

Jun Wen and I had already planned to return home by catching the 2300 hr shuttle bus outside DTE. There was one problem though; no bus comes after 2200 hr. The two of us ended up waiting at the bus stop like dummies, only to realize the crap situation we were in when a nice (& cute) girl came up to us and told us that. Woot.

Disheartened, we ended up going back to the bbq pit and regrouped. After some really lame group discussion including debating over whether to sleep over, JW decided to resort to the last alternative - hail a cab. I actually already ringed up home and told my residence that I will be out for the whole night.
Long story short, I shared a cab with JW and reached my home door after midnight.

And the best stunt I pulled off that day? Managing to slip into my room without even my parents noticing. So worth it, just to see their surprised expression when they see me the very next morning. =D

To 2008 !!!!!!!

Heh. Did a similar title like this for last year, 2006.

(And OOPS; I forgot to celebrate my blog's one year anniversary. It was supposed to be on Dec 15th, but I will just say it now: Happy 1st Year Birthday, Blue Minute!)

Now onto the ACTUAL topic.
This year 2007 was a somewhat 'tamed' year for me. The only noteworthy milestone was my graduation from TP. Maybe Junk Art's birth will set another important event to remember '07 by, but that is something only time can tell.
So for now, let's just toast for the future success my little rpg may bring~!

Resolutions are overrated, so I am not going to list mine down. Don't need them either, since I am going to become a soldier!
Weee~ 2008 is so gonna rox! >_<

Since I am cool, let's close this topic with some 'copy-paste' magic, shall we?

1, 2, 3... woot!

HAPPY NEW YEAR

Merry X'mas 2007!

Sheng Dan Kuai Le !

Since it is the you-know-what day today, I thought I should just post something to commemorate the event. I will probably post photos of the presents I received some day later.

Other than the usual xmas stuff, I will take this as an opportunity to officially reveal my independent rpg project to this blog!

"Junk Art"

Follow the link above for more details. Also, I shall provide a prototype trailer of the intro-scene. Check it out as well~

^How's that for my Christmas present to you blog readers? =D

Mizuki Nana-sama wishing you a Merry Christmas to you too!

SEVEN Albums, unite!

I went for shitty medical screening at CMPB earlier today (fourth trip there), so therefore you can bet how it brightened up my day to see a YesAsia package in my mailbox upon reaching home.
.
.
.
My very own copies of supersonic girl and Magic Attraction are here!!

supersonic girl on left, and Magic Attraction to the right (lovely~)

Now, I finally own all seven albums of Nana's! Woot!
It's a little amusing though; both supersonic girl & Magic Attraction were released in 2001 and 2002 respectively, and that was prior to me knowing about Nana ('03 onwards). And it was these two albums that were the last to reach my hands.

... Um, whatever, I guess.
Just look at the photos of my complete collection then.

(above) seven Mizuki Nana's years worth of album work!

But alas, I don't have all the songs of Nana-sama in possession!!
Where's my Thermidor, or Inside of Mind?! Argh, darn those producers for making them singles-exclusive!

I guess I will just need to buy them singles too. =_=

Package from YesAsia... oh Nana-sama~

I am blogging this as the cd is playing!!!

MIZUKI NANA!! whoaaaaaaa... waaaa... weeeeee~

...Ahem, pardon my sudden outburst of excitement. There is a reason behind this, and it is all because:

^ I already blurred my address, so don't bother

My one and only pop-idol Mizuki Nana's limited edition GREAT ACTIVITY album (released Nov 14 '07) and LIVE MUSEUM x UNIVERSE concert dvd has finally arrived at my mailbox!

And it is my first ever online transaction to boot! YesAsia, cheers to you!

YesAsia shipped me a free Sakura Taisen gashapon too (far right)

back covers of Live MuseumxUniverse & Great Activity

Remember the post I made on my previous birthday that I will definitely get her live concert dvd? I fulfilled it, and it didn't take as long as I speculated for it to happen~

Great Activity album was US$32.75, while Live dvd cost US$72.25, thus totaling to US$105.00. That's about a little below S$150 when converted I believed, which isn't inexpensive imo. Heck, I would even fork out that amount without hesitation just for her actual concert tickets.

Bah, next goal: buy ticket to fly to Japan and watch her live performance.
...That is sooo going to be hella' difficult. T_T

cd case and random page from GREAT ACTIVITY album

Anyway, I will need to pay back my mum the cost since I used her credit card. No worries though, I am not anywhere near broke at the moment, plus I am going for another job next week which will more than cover for my bills.

I mentioned a bit that YesAsia was nice enough to throw in a freebie. It's a gashapon, or coin-operated collectible figure of Iris from Sakura Taisen. In all honesty, the quality of Iris is pretty poor, but you can't expect much from capsule toys ('tikam-tikam') anyway.
It is nevertheless still cute, and I like Iris, so all is fine with me. =)
*I actually was hoping I had gotten Coquelicot instead, but whatever la.

With the addition of Great Activity, I have gotten hold of 5 of the seven albums Nana-sama had released thus far. I am still short of Supersonic Girl (debut album) and Magic Attraction (second album).

my lil' Mizuki Nana collection

It will be cool if I can collect all of them before the end of this year, as:
- it is her 7th year officially as a singer
- has released 7 albums
- year 2007
- the name 'Nana' sounds like 'seven' in Japanese
= I have all albums by then, which will give me bragging rights over this

Blast, I should have ordered them altogether. Never mind, I will just make another online purchase. December will be a good time, oh yeah~
